Ty Michael Fritzshing

Ty Michael Fritzshing

On Monday, October 12, [2009] we lost an adored son, brother, uncle and friend when Ty Michael Fritzsching passed away peacefully in his sleep after a courageous battle with Behcet’s Disease, a rare autoimmune disorder.

To those who knew him best, Ty will be remembered as so much more than the talented artist, insightful poet and gifted musician he was. We will remember his enthusiasm and kindness, his spontaneous gestures of love and gratitude, his contagious laughter and his wide smile. Ty’s parents will remember his unexpected gifts of drawings and letters, tokens of his appreciation for their love and support. His sister, one of his best friends, will remember their many trips, concerts and conversations. His adored nephew Isaac, Ty’s “Mini Me,” will remember their music lessons and Ty’s unique explanations about the curious ways of the world. Ty’s many close friends will remember his love of nature, particularly Lake Tahoe, and of pursuits like boating and waterskiing, snowboarding, hiking, art and, of course, music. And we will all remember Ty’s devotion to his dog, Yuba, who remained faithfully at his side during his struggle.

Ty is survived by his mother, father, step parents, four sisters, nephews, grandmothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, his loving girlfriend and innumerable friends. Every single one will remember his creativity, selflessness and passion for life.

Ty lived 29 full years and touched countless hearts.
